Adopt a Nest to Protect Sea Turtles
In partnership with the Jacksonville University Sea Turtle Program, we are happy to offer sea turtle nest adoptions. Your contribution supports vital nest monitoring, student-driven research, and community education — all critical to ensuring a brighter future for sea turtles in Northeast Florida.
Nest Adoption Levels:
Loggerhead Turtle
$50
The Loggerhead Turtle level includes:
Your name listed on the website of nest adopters for the current nesting season
A Certificate of Adoption and a Mickler’s Landing Turtle Patrol sticker.
We choose your nest
Green Turtle
$150
The Green Turtle level includes:
Everything at the Loggerhead Turtle level, plus
An emailed picture of your individual nest
Emailed results of your nest after the evaluation
You choose your nest (unless already reserved)
Leatherback Turtle
$300
The Leatherback Turtle level includes:
Everything at the Green Turtle level, plus
An invitation to your nest’s evaluation for up to five (5) people. Evaluations last roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour. *Due to state permitting restrictions, we can only give a maximum of a 3-day notice for the evaluation.
